CONFLICT
RESOLUTION
RSG has developed a proven
methodology to prevent, document, and negotiate claims. Our
project team and management staff is able to recognize potential
conflict. We maintain open lines of communication with the owner,
contractors, architects, engineers, and other project participants, so
as to, establish a “Foresight” technique that helps prevent
and/or minimize conflict and claims. Every project will have technical
issues. Early communication with the CM and Client formally
through the Construction Management Information System, and verbally on
an informal basis, will start the conflict resolution process.
Coordination and communication with the Design Engineer, is required to
assure that technical support is obtained in a timely manner.
Cost/schedule variances will be identified through Construction.

COMMUNICATION
and PARTNERING
A vital component to the
success of any project is effective communication between the various
project participants. RSG’s approach to the communication of
issues to the Client‘s Management staff is to keep him or her
apprised of all issues on the project. The Construction Management
Information System will be implemented by our administration/document
controls specialist. This instrument will be used to gather, archive,
and retrieve project documentation for the Client’s review and
dissemination.
We recognize the importance of our role with the Client, project
stakeholders, civic leaders and community groups. We understand that a
clear and continuous form of communication using various platforms such
as regular meetings, status reports, schedule updates, budget reviews,
etc. will make for a mutually beneficial collaboration between the
various project participants. Experienced construction professionals
have long recognized that construction disputes are reduced and settled
faster and cost effectively when a healthy communications environment
is encouraged. Team building and partnering is a valuable tool that
foster collaboration from project inception thru close – out. The
Public Relations personal with the assistance of Liaison Staff will
take the laboring oar in being proactive in reporting and documenting
targeted construction, environmental, historical and community concerns.
